Professional Practice Licence & Affiliation
A plain-language guide to CPQLTD licensing: stages, requirements, standards, governance and links to the training platform.

A clear route from professional training to documented practice. An application is reviewed against evidence, practice hours and assessments before an independent Licence Board decision.
The supervised practice and affiliation programme helps practitioners build a verified practice record. A CPQLTD professional licence is a separate credential and is not issued automatically on graduation or affiliation.

Your route in four stages
- Prepare: choose a licence level and any required specialty; review the criteria and complete required training units.
- Apply: sign the required agreements and submit qualifications, practice and supervision evidence, and professional insurance where required. Only approved hours count.
- Assessment and decision: ethics, practical assessments and academic results are checked. Once requirements and fees are complete, the file goes to the Licence Board for an independent decision. A complete application does not guarantee approval.
- Maintain and renew: the current operational configuration uses a three-year term. Exact continuing-development and renewal criteria must be confirmed in the approved public policy.
General requirements
- Choose the appropriate licence category and specialty and meet the required education pathway.
- Document practice, supervision and assessments under the approved criteria for that category.
- Complete ethics and training requirements, sign agreements and submit required documents.
- Meet professional-insurance requirements where applicable.
Notice: Numeric requirements in the affiliation pack and T1–T4 pathways do not fully match the system configuration for LPC/LAC/LSC/LMC. We are not presenting hour or renewal thresholds as final until the Licence Board approves one harmonised schedule. Check the standards hub and your current agreement; this page will be updated when the approved schedule is published.
How the training platform fits
Use elearning.cpqltd.com for courses, assessments and your academic record. Complete units in your account and check that results appear. This is a direct link, not single sign-on or public data synchronisation. If the session-evaluation unit or a required result is missing, contact support; the unit may need to be mapped to a course before re-registering or sending duplicate evidence.
Eligibility and licence issuance remain subject to review and governance; completing a course alone does not issue a licence.
