1 Purpose

The code aims to protect clients, learners and the public, to provide a decision standard where a case is complex, and to link every professional credential to verifiable accountability.

3 Prohibited conduct

Any CPQLTD-credentialed practitioner is prohibited from:

Diagnosing or treating outside their licence and competence.

Making false promises or guarantees.

Exploiting a client financially, emotionally or sexually.

Breaching confidentiality without lawful basis.

Falsifying hours, clients, qualifications or research results.

Retaliating against a complainant or witness.

Harassment, discrimination or deliberate defamation.

Working with an undisclosed conflict that threatens objectivity.

4 Acknowledgement and review

The credential applicant signs an ethical acknowledgement at award and at every renewal. The code is reviewed periodically and at most every three years, or upon a material change in law or practice. Amendments and the change history are available.
