1 Assessment principle
Assessment evaluates what the practitioner actually does, not marketing gloss or memorised definitions. Assessors should, wherever possible, be materially independent of any conflict of interest.
2 Assessment-criteria weights

3 Pass thresholds
T1 = 70/100, T2 = 75/100, T3 = 80/100, T4 = 85/100. In addition to the overall score, a minimum of 60% is required in C01, with no critical failure.
4 Critical failure
A critical failure includes:
✗ A clear safety breach.
✗ Unauthorised diagnosis or treatment.
✗ Exploitation.
✗ Fabricated evidence.
✗ Deliberate, unjustified breach of confidentiality.
✗ Ignoring a clear, serious risk.
5 Re-assessment
An unsuccessful candidate receives a summary of strengths and development areas and may re-sit after a recommended development period. Assessors do not disclose confidential information to a third party or protected assessment materials.
